Enjoyed the place, had a very comfortable stay within easy walking distance of river and Barcelos historic town. The location in a nice enough area was good and marvellous and there were a supermarket and stores nearby. Visited few places in the center, at a medium distance from the hotel.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in Barcelos called Casa Das Pombas. My purpose of travel was to explore the nearby cities of Porto and Braga. The owner and his daughter were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The kitchen was spacious and provided a relaxing atmosphere to unwind. Additionally, the hotel had a big yard which was perfect for drying laundry. The staff were always available and willing to assist. The room was self-contained, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated the shared kitchen which had all the necessary amenities, including a dishwasher. The location was fantastic, with a supermarket just a short walk away. I enjoyed buying ingredients and cooking my own supper in the well-equipped kitchen.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The rooms were so cozy and the patio and garden were perfect for chill hangouts. The owner, Casimiro, was the best. He was super cool and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a blast exploring Porto and Braga, and the cycling and hiking trails nearby were epic!
The only thing we wished for was a bit more nightlife nearby. It would have been awesome to have some party spots or clubs within walking distance.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better for anyone walking the Camino. It's right on the path, making it incredibly convenient for tired travelers. Plus, the rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a much-needed rest after a long day of walking. the bathroom facilities are well-maintained and recently renovated, ensuring a pleasant and refreshing experience. the service provided by the owner is second to none. They are extremely helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Oh, and did I mention the delightful breakfast they offer? It's the perfect way to start your day on the Camino.
While everything about this hotel is wonderful, it would be beneficial to have more visible signage outside.

The rooms at Casa Das Pombas are cozy and comfortable, with a nice balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view. The flat-screen TV with satellite channels is a great addition, perfect for some entertainment after a long day of exploring. The soundproofing in the rooms ensures a peaceful and quiet stay. The tile/marble floors and cable TV in the double room add a touch of luxury. Having a private entrance in the single room gives a sense of privacy. The mountain view from the triple room is simply breathtaking. The free toiletries provided in every room are a nice touch. Having a desk in every room makes it convenient for guests who need to work or use their laptops.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the double room a bit excessive, making the room feel a bit too closed off from the surroundings.
